A man was arrested and will be charged with child rape after allegedly sleeping with his own daughters while his wife was home, police in Israel said. Jerusalem Police said that they arrested the 50-year-old man on Tuesday.
The man is accused of sleeping with his six daughters over a period of many years. According to the initial police investigation, the father demanded that his 16 and 17-year-old daughters sleep with him in his bed every other night.
The suspect sent his wife to sleep on the living room couch. Police said that the mother of the children was also arrested for failing to report the abuse to police.
During questioning, the father denied the allegations. The horrific abuse came to light after one of the girl notified a school teacher.
The school passed the information to social services, and the police were notified. The father will be brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court for a bail hearing, while charges are still pending.
