PATRICIA Ngomane thought her cop boyfriend would keep her safe and protect her from harm. Even when she heard rumours that he was cheating on her she simply didn’t believe it. But when she caught him out with another woman, Patricia got to know the dark side of the lawman!
Patricia (26) from Florida, west of Joburg claimed that when she confronted her cop boyfriend he beat her up.
“He took me into the house where I have lived with him for five years and started assaulting me. He was still in his police uniform and work boots. He stomped on me several times before throwing me on a couch where I slept while he took his nyatsi into my bed!
“When our neighbour tried to rescue me, he moered the neighbour too,” she claimed.
“He didn’t even apologise for what he did.
“I felt betrayed and disappointed. I had even thought we would get married . . .”
Patricia said she opened a case at the Kabokweni cop shop and her cop boyfriend was arrested. But Patricia alleged, once he was released on bail he started calling and threatening her, telling her he would kill her if he saw her.
“I also receive phone calls every day from his family who ask me to drop the charges against their son.
Kabokweni police spokeswoman Constable Shelly Ngomane said police were investigating the case. The suspect is out on bail and will appear in court on Friday to face assault charges. Daily Sun
