SOUL Jah Love ran riot threatening to beat up the owner of Zebra Night Club and Suluman Chimbetu’s manager Pliers Pureni in Mbare on Sunday night.
Chimbetu was supposed to share the stage with Soul Jah Love only to be told that the dancehall singer had suffered a diabetic attack just hours before the show.
However, the dancehall singer appeared at the venue in the company of more than 20 rowdy elements and addressed the crowd that was in a queue paying fees to the show.
“I want to tell everyone here that I don’t have a show here. When I have a show I don’t appear on such a small poster. All my fans should disperse forthwith.
“I was not told about the show. I am capable of anything. I can hire a lorry and the speakers and have my passa passa here,” Soul Jah Love said forcing fans to disperse.
Sulumani’s manager had to be whisked away after Soul Jah Love’s camp bayed for his blood.
The musician said he did not know about the show besides WhatsApp chats between Suluman’s manager and his wife Bounty Lisa.
“I hire and fire managers if they misfire. I do not care that Bounty Lisa is my wife, I can also fire her,” said the dancehall chanter who was visibly drunk.
Sulumani’s publicist Joe Nyamungoma confirmed the incident, but said he hoped they would iron out their differences.
“It was a small misunderstanding that can easily be sorted out. Soul Jah Love indeed came here and dispersed the crowd that wanted to pay for the show.
“I personally called Bounty Lisa on Thursday and she confirmed that Soul Jah Love would participate only to sommersault today,” he said.
