A man was arrested on charges of rape after raping his girlfriend while he was drunk, prosecutors in Australia said. Now, the man admitted in court to raping his partner after she told him that she was not in the mood to have sex.
A County Court judge heard that the 34-year-old man had been in a relationship with the 27-year-old woman, and that the couple had three children together.
On the day of the incident, he called her at 3:00 a.m., and said that he was coming over to her house to have sex with her. The woman noticed that her boyfriend was drunk and told him not to come to her house.
The woman, who was living in her father’s house, went back to sleep before she heard a car outside. She heard her boyfriend coming through the door, which she always left open.
She was in her bedroom laying on her bed when she saw her boyfriend staggering in. He jumped into bed and tried to have sex with her.
The woman tried to escape, but he grabbed and raped her. The next morning, the woman went to the nearest police station to report the rape.
The judge sentenced the man to 300 hours of community service.
