Memes of a badly dressed father-in-law at his daughter’s weddings are breaking the internet, well at least Zim Social Media.
The original picture below which shows the forlorn and ‘inappropriately’ dressed elderly gentleman standing next to his wife and daughter has inspired all sorts of memes. The trend of memes in Zim generally came about after President Mugabe’s embarrassing fall at the airport some few months back.
Many theories have been propounded as to why this man was dressed in this manner, some are saying, maybe he is an uncle who was just asked to stand in and officiate without prior notice, while others are saying, the mukwasha(son-in-law) might not have bought him the suits and other regalia which constitute part of lobola transactions.
