Prophet Makandiwa’s humiliation having performed a false belly fat miracle has seen Zimbabweans speaking out with the latest being a challenge call for him to perform a similar “miracle” on Transport Minister Obert Mpofu, a development that has seen the cabinet official responding to the request.
Makandiwa has admitted that his miracle has no evidence of having happened, but scores of his UFIC church members have continued maintaining the preacher is a holy man who did not conduct himself deceitfully. The “prophet” in a video address attempting to dismiss the investigation, however called on journalists to appoint someone with a fat belly to be tested.
In answer to that call, newsreaders Friday night spoke out against him with one Zexie Mashonga screaming out “Ngaapedze dhumbu ra Obert Mphofu kana ari pachokwadi – Let him remove Obert Mpofu’s belly if he is in the truth.”
Makandiwa will not need to travel to see Minister Mpofu, he can even pray for him via phone as he is fully ready for a challenge, said Bible Studies Lecturer Freeman Ncube.
ZimEye then within minutes caught up with Minister Mpofu Friday night who responding launched a veiled attack on Makandiwa saying the preacher does not operate Biblically.
He told ZimEye.com, “I don’t belong to Makandiwa. I belong to SDA church for the rest of my life. The family belongs to that church. I’ve never been to any church where there are some prophecy whatever, because I don’t believe in those things. I believe in what the Bible says and I have been in SDA.”
“I don’t subscribe to some of those things that are happening outside my church,” he added.
