The star of NBC's hit series Bindspot believes she is being poisoned by the fake tattoos she has to wear for the show, sources claim.
Jaimie Alexander, 31, spends up to seven hours every day of shooting having her body covered in intricate 'tattoos.'The actress plays a Jane Doe who wakes up naked in a duffel bag left in Times Square with no memory of who she is or how she got there. Her only clues to her identity are the hundreds of mysterious tattoos that cover almost every inch of her skin.

'My full body is seven and a half, so it can get pretty intense. I can’t sit down because when you bend your body it pulls the skin, and the tattoos are like a puzzle, so if one piece is off, the whole body is off.
'The makeup artist and I get some good coffee and good music and we chat, because I’m naked, so it’s like nobody’s pointing out the elephant in the room.'
But the actress believes the ink used for the make-up tattoos is toxic, and is making her ill, sources told Page Six.

After being struck down with a pulmonary infection midway through filming the first series, she brought her doctor on to the set, the source revealed.
'(Alexander has) become convinced the ink is toxic and making her sick,' they added.
Producers have reportedly been using body doubles more and more often to allow her to leave early.
It is also claimed that production on the show ground to a halt last week after four of the makeup artists that applied the actress's tattoos were fired, alongside a hairdresser.
However show bosses denied this had anything to do with Alexander and said it was 'a production/studio decision'.
However, Alexander is said not to get along with her co-star Sullivan Stapleton, who plays her potential love interest, FBI agent Kurt Weller.

Alexander's publicist Craig Schneider denied the source's claims, who he said came from a disgruntled ex-employee, and branded them 'unfounded and inaccurate'.
About 12.7million viewers tune in every Monday for the show, according to Entertainment Weekly.
