Daughters Traumatised By Father Who Likes Walking About The House Naked

In a shocking revelation,a Bulawayo woman told the court that her husband was in the habit of stripping naked before moving around their house in his birthday suit while parading his jewels in front of their daughters.

Lungile Sibanda claimed that their children were traumatised by their Father,Siphosami Sibanda’s impromptu strip shows which he was allegedly performing in their full view.

Lungile was baring her soul at the Bulawayo Civil Court where she was seeking a protection order against her husband claiming he was verbally and physically abusing her. “I am a survivor of domestic violence at the hands of my husband. Since we got married, my husband has been abusing me by way of verbally and physically assaulting me. He has no respect for the family as he moves around the house naked and in front of the children.

“This had happened on several occasions and as a family, we are now traumatised by his weird behaviour. A month ago, he threatened to kill me and my life is now in danger. I am therefore appealing to this Honourable Court to protect me by granting me a protecting order,” said Lungile.

Siphosami, a printer at Directory Publishers, did not oppose his wife’s application. He blamed his actions on beer. “What she said is true your worship. Sometimes it happens when I am drunk,” he said remorsefully.

Presiding Magistrate, Eveylene Mashavakure ordered Siphosami not to verbally and physically threaten his wife.

She also ordered the two parties to undergo counselling.
