Steven Gerrard has said in with his own mouth and confirmed that he will join up with the Liverpool squad for training in a bid to learn from new manager Jurgen Klopp.
Gerrard, who left Liverpool at the end of last season to sign a two-year contract with MLS side LA Galaxy, failed to defend the Galaxy’s league title after play-off disappointment ended his season early.![]() |

And, while speaking as a pundit on BT Sport on Tuesday night, Gerrard revealed how intended to take up Jurgen Klopp on his offer to train with his former team-mates.

‘Next week, I’m going to go in for a couple of weeks and work with Mr. Klopp so I’m really looking forward to that to see what he’s about and try and learn a few things off him,’ Gerrard said.Despite many believing that the former England captain was planning to have one more season in America before retiring, Gerrard was quick not to rule out a potential return to England before he hangs up his boots:
