Lionel Messi favours a move to Arsenal with the star contemplating on quitting Barcelona, according to reports.

Messi, 28, has apparently become frustrated with the Spanish tax authorities – and he’s now interested in making a transfer to England.

The Daily Star says Messi wants to move to London, and Arsenal are his preferred destination, but his eye-watering £600,000-a-week wage could price him out of any deal.

Messi would end up being paid £18million-a-year before tax, and that’s not even taking into account how much his transfer fee would be.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are also thought to be keen on Messi, who has won the Ballon d’Or four times.
