Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia Focused On Recovery After Undergoing Foot Surgery

Manchester United's Antonio Valencia will spend time on the sideline after the club confirmed on Tuesday he had surgery for a foot injury.

The Ecuadorian sustained the injury during October’s 0-0 stalemate with Manchester City and was forced off in the second half.
The club suspected that the injury was only minor but the 30-year-old has now had surgery on his left foot to cure the problem. With Luke Shaw out for the majority of the season, Louis van Gaal is short on full-backs but Valencia has taken to Twitter to insist he’s only focused on returning as soon as possible.
