SINDISIWE Manqele (26) was today found guilty of murdering her boyfriend, Nkululeko “Flabba” Habedi!
Flabba, a member of the popular Skwatta Kamp band, died from a fatal stab wound to his chest in March this year. He and Sindisiwe had apparently been arguing when she stabbed him.
Sindisiwe had insisted that she wasn’t guilty of murder because she had been acting in self-defence. She said she had meant to stab him because she wanted to get away from him. But she hadn’t meant him to die.
But Judge Solly Sithole in the South Gauteng High Court didn’t buy her explanation and found her guilty of murdering Flabba.
For the very first time, Flabba's daughter, Lesego, came to court. Dressed in her school uniform, she sat next to Flabba's mum and brother.
Flabba’s mum, Agatha, left the court in tears.

Last witness called by Sindisiwe was Leticia Vena who worked at the Masakhane Clinic
Dr Sipho Lukhozi who examined Sindisiwe concluded that injuries on her abdomen were not self-inflicted
