While social media and the South African hip-hop fraternity wait for a verse (and this could be a song or an actual passage from the Bible) from “King” Cassper to#Composure, the diss track AKA dropped on Wednesday, DJ Zinhle decided to drop bombs of her own on Thursday.
Through an entry on her website, Zinhle confirmed the speculation that’s been swirling around her and AKA’s breakup – AKA and Bonang had apparently been having an affair for about 5 months right to about a week before their baby was born.
“A week before our daughter was born, I found out about an affair between Kiernan (the father of my child) and Bonang Matheba. I also received confirmation of all rumours through an honest conversation which I had with Kiernan, who confirmed that the affair had been going on for over 5 months”, she said in a statement on her website.
Mind you, Bonang and AKA were quick to dismiss media reports on their affair as rubbish.
The “continued public display” of AKA and Bonang’s affair pushed Zinhle to put out the statement, in the process affirm her power as a woman, her strength of character, her continued focus on her work and her commitment to being a positive role model, the statement continued to say.
Even in her pain, Zinhle resolves to support AKA in his role as a father to their daughter and member of her extended family.
