Jurgen Klopp thanked Liverpool's doctor for forcing him to hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning as he faced the media 48 hours after an emergency appendix operation.
The Reds manager missed his side's clash with Sunderland at the weekend due to appendicitis and returned to work today ahead of tomorrow night's FA Cup replay against West Ham.Jurgen Klopp thanks Liverpool doctor |
Klopp had his appendix removed on Saturday but recovered quickly and discharged himself from hospital the following day.
He said: "I feel good. A lot of people have had this before.
"I'm very thankful to our doctor because he said, 'you should go to hospital', and I wasn't sure.
"The hospital doctor was a season ticket holder so he didn't see the game either."
His Liverpool team will attempt to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup when they face the Hammers in a fourth round replay at Upton Park.
The winner will travel to Reading in the last 16.
