The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) has asked leaders of the country not to run the security of the nation on the back of prophesies andpredictions.
Rather it urged the security agencies to be professional in their dealings in the wake of various security alerts on a possible terror attack in Ghana.

The Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua on Sunday announced to his congregation that Ghana and Nigeria could face a possible terror attack this week and therefore asked for prayers for the two countries.
Prophet Joshua who is noted for making numerous such predictions said the attack could happen between Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Commenting on the development, Rev Dr Opuni Frimpong, General Secretary of the Christian Council asked the security agencies to tighten security in the wake of the prediction.
In a television interview on Joy News Monday morning, Dr Opuni Frimpong said Ghana was a secular state and so if somebody gives a prophesy of that sort, it was for Christians to handle it.
“Our nation is not run on the back of predictions and prophesies. We have a policy direction and those who are in charge of security must work, and so we as Christians must do what we are supposed to do by praying for the nation.”
He expressed worry that despite the numerous alerts on terror attacks, the security agencies were not showing any evidence of a country on a high security alert.
He also expressed concern about the police allowing people driving V8 Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles with tainted glasses to drive past police check points without searching them, “they just put on their hazard and the police allow them to go.”
