Jevaughn Suckoo, 26, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was gunned down on July 11th. His pregnant girlfriend, Stephanie Caceres, gave birth to their twins just three days later, on July 14th. Sadly, she died 3 weeks later.
Horrific Tragedy:Jevaughn Suckoo , of West Palm Beach, Florida, was looking forward to being a father of twins. He already was a proud father of a 2 year-old daughter, Kailanie. Tragically, Suckoo was found fatally shot inside a gated apartment complex he shared with his pregnant girlfriend, Stephanie Caceres. Excited for their new additions, the couple had recently celebrated the arrival of their twins at their baby shower. The family of Suckoo was devastated that he died 3 days before his twins were born.
According to Palm Beach Post, Jevaughn, who was a server at Christafaro’s catering company, graduated from Royal Palm Beach High School in 2008. While Suckoo was a devoted father who loved his family, his father, Dwight Suckoo, shared that he had a history of arrests for marijuana. Jevaughn was found guilty for three marijuana-related crimes in the past three years, according to court documents.
My child is a damn good child and (he) didn’t deserve to die the way he died, Dwight said. I try to keep my family away from things like this. Unfortunately, my son got caught up in it.

Too Much To Bear:
Just 3 days after Suckoo was gunned down, his pregnant girlfriend, Stephanie Caceres, gave birth to their twins, Jevaughn Jr. and Lailah, on July 14th. Coping with the loss of her boyfriend while trying to be a mom of newborns was difficult but Caceres lived for her children. Family members said that she was a devoted mom and her children were her world. On July 26th, the day of Suckoo’s funeral, just 10 days after the birth of their twins, Caceres died due to infection she developed caused by her cesarean section.
Joni Saunders, Suckoo’s aunt told WPTV that the family is ‘devastated.’
She said that Suckoo and Caceres were eagerly anticipating the twins only for a ‘tragedy, a double whammy hit. Now we’re just trying [to] figure out how to move forward.’ Saunders called Caceres ‘a dedicated mom’ who ‘lived for her kids’ and noted that Suckoo was ‘so excited’ about the twins and couldn’t wait to teach all of his children how to play soccer.
The pediatric office where Caceres worked in the front office is taking up a collection to help the twins, Jevaughn Jr. and Lailah, and Kailanie. The couple’s family set up a Go Fund Me page to raise money for health care, education and other support needs. It has raised more than $13,500 since it was started on July 27th. All three of the children will be taken care of by their grandparents, according to the Go Fund Me page.
