The president hurriedly returned to Nigeria after pressures from protesters at home expanded to New York and later London. The London protest began with a vigil at the Abuja House, the country’s presidential residence in London on Friday night.
The president hurriedly returned to the country a day after the protest.
His doctors are worried that this swift political action may not be so well with his health as he is yet to be certified fit to return to work.
His aide, Femi Adesina had told reporters that president Buhari will address the nation on the 21st of August. 2017. Sources also revealed that the broadcast will be pre recorded as the president is not fit enough to do a live broadcast. Another seemingly obvious reasons the broadcast will be pre-recorded is to allow his media team edit out incoherent sessions of his speech, something that has become imminent since his sickness got worse.
