Many thought that after the diplomatic offensive, the UN Secretary General's visit, the creation of an interim government and international pressure will force President Paul Biya and his government to call for dialogue with the Anglophone leaders but the Biya regime is showing no sign that they are ready for dialogue.
Instead, all signs point towards the fact that the regime is ready to follow with its agenda of decentralization.
As recently reported by a French newspaper "le jour", Cameroonian authorities have issued 15 international arrest warrants for leaders of an Anglophone separatist, The paper says that files have been prepared and submitted to international police with a view to extraditing Mr. Tabe and his colleagues. The government spokesman in a recent interview has term secessionist as terrorist following the deaths of at least two military police officers killed at a security checkpoint earlier this week.
Hon, Justice Aya Paul in a Facebook post rubbish the arrest warrant meanwhile the Mr. Tabe has distanced himself and his team from of the police officers.
The truth is Biya is not ready to dialogue if not why should he arrest those he is supposed to dialogue with. Issa Tchiroma made it clear that they will work with the various committees the government has created.
