He passed away in South Africa on December 27 last year. The late evangelist had been battling for his life in intensive care unit after he nearly drowned in a pool on Christmas day.
Despite dying at the young age of 35, church leaders who spoke to The Sunday Mail Society highlighted the inspiring story of the late evangelist who was also a husband to Caroline Katsande and father to three children.

I was greatly inspired by Ezekiel Guti Jnr. Before I knew him, he already knew me. My son Joseph called me one day telling me Ezekiel wanted to see me and was on his way to Bulawayo where I was. When he got to Bulawayo, we met. What amazed me the most was how he carried himself despite his physical challenges.
We spoke for some time and he would respond to me through his interpreter. He then said let me pray for you and this to me signalled a lot of love. The way he preached showed God had given a special gift.
Even his interpreter, I took it that he was a God given gift because he could understand him unlike many of us who could not. He was indeed a man of God, May he rest in peace.

I was much inspired by Ezekiel Jnr’s life, especially because of our proximity. I was part of his family during the time of his birth and as he grew to become the man, the father and the leader he had become, I became fonder of him. I attended his wedding too. He had become a great preacher and also lived an exemplary life. Looking at his physical appearance and how he did God’s works, I felt that besides death, nothing can ever stop one from working for the Lord. That should be an inspiration that will be passed even to the future generations. May his soul rest in peace.Pastor KanokangaPastor Gwendoline Kanokanga — Impact Christian Centre
Ezekiel Jnr proved to the world that he was unstoppable. He did the opposite of what the world expected of a person of his nature. I learnt that God does not take into consideration your condition or your physical appearance but he looks far beyond that. I realised that God loves a person from within. He never took himself to be disabled, he made himself of great value just as he was through dedicating his life to working for the Lord.Apostle Pride Sibiya – Glory Ministries
Ezekiel Guti Jnr was a great man of God who has inspired us all in one way or the other. In infancy he proved to the whole world that indeed Christ has overcome not only spiritually but also physical death by rising from the dead. Growing up he also proved that disability is not physical but a state of mind. Disability is not inability but rather different ability. I seem to hear him shout as he stands at the pinnacle of heaven.Apostle Pride Sibiya and Many Other Ministers Celebrate The Life Of Evangelist Ezekiel Guti Junior |
His life evangelised before we ever knew that he himself was an evangelist. He overcame life, he overcame death, and with Christ he is fulfilled. We do not dare mourn such a hero, but we celebrate the years well spent on this earth. As we celebrate the call remains the same, Jesus Christ is Lord and must be accepted by all.
