The leaders of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC) address the "President of the Republic" in a letter of 14 November.
In the correspondence addressed to the "President of the Republic" and drafted from Addis Ababa where Alain Fogue the signatory was with his candidate Maurice Kamto, the leaders of the MRC question Biya in these terms, "Excellence".In the background it is a "republican alert", where they denounce, "serious tribalist drift, public humiliation, inhuman and degrading treatment and acts of torture inflicted by the security forces on President Kamto, its activists and sympathizers engaged in the resistance against the official results of the presidential election of October 7, 2018 ".
For the MRC, Cameroon is going through a serious post-election crisis reminiscent of 1992, with the civil war going on in the two north-west and south-west regions.

After the announcement of the results of the presidential election of October 7, giving Biya winner at 71.28%, Kamto second with 14.23%, the camp of the MRC had indicated that he will not accept the figures of the constitutional council, "We will never accept these results and we do not recognize Mr. Biya as the President of the Republic.The President-elect is Maurice Kamto," said Paul Eric Kingue at the end of the hearing of the Constitutional Council.
A "peaceful" and not "insurrectional" resistance plan against the "electoral hold" was then set up.
Protests banned by the authorities and little followed, have resulted in brief arrests of activists and sympathizers of the MRC.
For information, Maurice Kamto and Alain Fogue had traveled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where African heads of state were meeting to publicize the post-electoral situation in Cameroon and submit their complaints of "recounting votes". Obviously, their grievance seems not to have known a happy continuation.
