Cameroon North West Governors Urges Separatist Fighters To Lay Down Arms

North West Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique, during the distribution of humanitarian assistance to IDPs in the North West region over the weekend requested armed separatists in the bushes to drop their arms.

Governor Adolphe Lafrique was speaking in Santa, Mezam division of the North West region, during the distribution of government’s humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons in the region.

During the distribution, he said the government of Cameroon has taken great steps to completely reintegrate the internally displaced persons into normal life.

The operation to distribute government’s humanitarian assistance to victims of the socio-political crisis in Santa saw several families benefiting as they received mattresses, blankets, food items and other basic amenities.
Reports say the victims equally received the sum of CFA 30,000 each.

The distribution operation is being supervised by a representative of the Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Njie who says they will move to other areas after Santa.
