MDC Leader Nelson Chamisa has paid tribute to the family of the late Mtukudzi for allowing Zimbabweans to mourn the superstar.
Tuku was laid to rest in his rural home Madziwa on Sunday.
"I would like to thank the Oliver Mtukudzi family and the Madziwa community for allowing us the opportunity to give our icon and hero, Baba Oliver Mtukudzi, a befitting send-off." Chamisa said.
"Kudos to all artistes and ordinary citizens who showed unity and a sense of purpose befitting the occasion."
Chamisa urged Zimbabweans to learn from the legacy of Tuku whose music united the nation and taught tolerance.

"We must never forget the profound lessons he imparted through his work. He spoke for human dignity, equality, fairness, peace and tolerance.
Tuku music reminds us to be the best we can be for each other because that's what makes the world a better place. May his soul rest in peace."
Chamisa was barred from entering the National Sports Stadium on Saturday where there was a funeral service and concert held in honour of Tuku.
He further was involved in a scuffle with security details in Madziwa where they tried to bar him from entering the homestead. MDC supporters allegedly broke pulled down the gate for him to enter.
