China has given the green light on early-stage human testing for two of its potential coronavirus vaccines, which are still in the experimental stages.
China has been experiencing a resurgence of COVID-19 from imported cases as well as reinfection among some people who had recovered.
According to the state-run news agency, Xinhua, the experimental vaccines are being developed by a Beijing-based unit of Sinovac Biotech and by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products.
Reports by Al Jazeera indicate that China’s National Health Commission confirmed the trials.

He was part of the team outside mainland China which was one of the first to reproduce the coronavirus in a laboratory for research purposes.
He said normally, with vaccines they start off with different groups of animals and lastly humans. He said it was a bold decision for China to go straight to humans implying that there is a possibility of high success.
