Pop icon Lady Gaga has curated a special event with Global Citizen to celebrate health workers globally and in support of the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO).
The concert will take place on 18 April and is titled One World: Together At Home.
It was announced on Tuesday that the concert will include appearances and performances by today’s most notable entertainers including Awkwafina, Lupita Nyong’o, and many more.
In terms of live performers, the concert will continue for over 10-hours and includes some of the biggest names in music including local stars Cassper Nyovest, DJ Black Coffee and Sho Madjozi. Local presenter Nomzamo Mbatha will also be there and another act from the continent on the line-up is the ever-popular Burna Boy.
The special event will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Stephen Colbert of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Friends from Sesame Street will also pop in.
