Miss South Africa 2020 contestant Bianca Schoombee has apologized for racist comments she made when she was 14 years old.
Being the person that I am today I have now dealt with my past by praying. I am using social media as a tool to better myself, to engage with friends, fans and followers, and to inspire.
It’s important to forgive yourself. I really hope that SA can forgive me for these immature posts, as I have forgiven myself and moved on. I really do hope that you continue to support me as we all deserve a second chance. I love you, South Africa. God Bless.
“I woke up this morning with a call from my mother. VERY confused, not even knowing where to start. I am devastated that someone “dug” up tweets from when I was 14/15 (2014) and displayed my childhood life in a negative light.”
I empathize with her situation because she is not the same person she was at 15. BUT!!! These youngins abamameli! So maybe they should reap the rewards of their childish stupidity even when they’ve outgrown it. What you doing now will have consequences later.
The human in me says; Phil what dumb things did you say or do when you were 15. But Ama2000 are warned all the time about what they post & consequences. Is giving actions like Bianca’s a pass as “folly of youth” removing taking responsibility from the conversation Though one

Good morning SA, in light of the recent event regarding my tweets from 6 years ago, when I was 14 years old, I would like to profusely apologize for putting it out into the universe then, however, I would like to make you all aware that I have grown as a person, this is no longer who I am or what I stand for.Being the person that I am today I have now dealt with my past by praying. I am using social media as a tool to better myself, to engage with friends, fans and followers, and to inspire.
