After an incredible run, #TeamPineapple (Ntando Duma and Siphosethu Colo) found themselves being the fourth team eliminated from this season of Tropika Island of Treasure Curaçao.
The team fast became the fan-favourite of the season thanks to Ntando’s charm and wit as well as Sethu’s resilience and determination. However, despite giving the challenges their all, the team just missed their chance at getting their hands on the shared R1 million grand prize.
After an incredible run on the series, Ntando Duma opens up about her time on the show as well as her teammate pairing from heaven as she bids the series farewell.
He had such an infectiously-positive personality and was just there to have fun. That was our aim – we wanted to have fun. I was lucky to have someone on my team who could tackle the physical challenges effortlessly while also thinking of things critically during the mental part of the game.
Most importantly, we became really good friends.
Why should people continue to watch Tropika Island of Treasure for the remainder of the season?
To see who takes the crown, of course! There are two teams left and both of them deserve the shared R1 million grand prize. Knowing the show, I have a feeling they’re going to be throwing in some twists in the final two episodes to come.
Be sure to purchase your Tropika and tune in to Tropika Island of Treasure Curaçao on SABC3 every Tuesday at 19h30 with the repeat every Saturday at 20h00. - People

You and Sethu made a great team! Are you glad you paired up with him?
Of course! Super Sethu was a fantastic teammate. The show really showcases how patient Sethu was with me.Ntando Duma |

What was the toughest thing you experienced during the Tropika Island Of Treasure adventure?
I think the toughest challenge was the one where we had to race around Curaçao while making stops at various places we had to find using clues. We were running for easily two hours non-stop trying to secure as many points as possible. Also, the swimming challenges were really difficult for me because I am not a strong swimmer at all. What was the biggest highlight of your time on the show?
I think my biggest highlight on the show was just getting to meet some really great people. Sethu was everything I could have hoped for in a teammate and we made some really great friends – especially our alliance with Nadia Jaftha and Trevor Lagerway (#TeamCoolRed). What was your favourite challenge throughout your time on the competition?
There isn’t one challenge that particularly comes to mind but I loved the puzzles. I have always loved puzzles and the challenge they bring. I think if there was no water involved in the challenge, I enjoyed it!Curaçao is a beautiful island. What was the highlight of your trip there?
Honestly, I loved having to wear a bikini every day on the island. The island in itself is just spectacular. It’s got beautiful views and such a peaceful atmosphere. I would highly recommend adding it to your bucket list. Oh, and flying KLM Royal Dutch Airlines business class there was the cherry on top! What surprised you most about yourself being part of this season?
I think the show helped remind me that I am a fearless individual. I really shocked myself when I swan in the open ocean because everyone close to me knows just how much water terrifies me. Now maybe I should start taking those swimming lessons I have always wanted to sign up for…Why should people continue to watch Tropika Island of Treasure for the remainder of the season?
