The Fergusons have bounced back from a turbulent week by announcing some good news.
Barely two months after leaving drama series Isibaya, Jessica Nkosi and veteran actor Menzi Ngubane have found a new home on Mzansi Magic’s most-watched show, The Queen. News that Jessica Nkosi and Menzi Ngubane joined The Queen was however met with mixed reaction.
Also, it was revealed that Shaka is also set to resurrect from the dead and make a come back. Mzansi Magic announced that SK Khoza who played Shaka on “The Queen” will be making a comeback. This comes after Shaka, who viewers have introduced to in season one of the hit show four years ago, was killed off the show last year. It was not clear how Shaka would make a comeback but we guess anything is possible in soapie land.
The Queen currently boasts a viewership of more than 2-million. Adding Jessica Nkosi and Menzi Ngubane to their cast is a sure recipe to boost their viewership.
On Saturday, the production company confirmed in a statement that Jessica Nkosi and Menzi Ngubane were among the new five faces who will be introduced in season five, which promises to be full of surprises.

Shaka Returns As Jessica Nkosi And Menzi Ngubane Join The Queen |
“We will be introducing a new family in season five – a father and two daughters – who are going to be a thorn in someone’s flesh!” said the show’s executive producer Connie Ferguson.
Although she didn’t reveal much on their characters, she did give away the fact that Nkosi and Ngubane would be playing the father-daughter characters.
Ferguson added: “Get ready to be taken on an emotional roller coaster ride. We are very excited about the talent that will be joining the show. We can confirm that we have five new leads coming on board, and one return that we like to call the comeback kid – that’s SK Khoza.”
The Fergusons Films has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons of late, with an exodus of actors seemingly leaving on a bad note. Many felt they treat their cast members unfairly judging by the mass exodus of actors in recent times. Fans warned Jessica Nkosi and Menzi Ngubane to be careful they might be dropped like hot potatoes.

The latest victim of the Ferguson axe is Dineo Langa, who was allegedly fired recently. However, Connie and Shona Ferguson have refuted the claims, saying Langa’s contract was not terminated as she was still on the payroll until the end of this month.
Langa has kept mum. Shona, the co-executive producer of The Queen, admitted that there had been a negative narrative-driven round some of the people who have left the show. This is the case with all shows, and is not exclusive to The Queen,” he said.
“I suppose that is testament to how invested people are in our characters and our stories, and more importantly in the show itself, The Queen.
The reality is that in the nature of story-telling, especially in long-form characters come and go. Some are designed to stay for a foreseeable future, and some to serve a specific story arc, exit and maybe return at a later stage, depending on how the story develops.
