Whilst the lockdown has been a blessing for some couples, for others, it has spelt nothing but disaster.
Barely a week after news of Lerato Kganyago’s split from businessman Thami Ndala broke the internet, another Mzansi queen is reported to have ended things with her lover.
Reports filtering in from online tabloid, Zalebs, popular sultry dancer and entrepreneur Zodwa Wabantu’s romance with Vusi Buthelezi has fizzled out. In an interview with Drum magazine, Zodwa confirmed the separation although she was coy in explaining the circumstances leading to the break-up.

‘Things were not working out, he left but I’ve learnt that you must allow people to leave. You accept things as they come and as they are and allow people to be themselves,’ said Zodwa.
However, she said that things took a turn for the worst last month around the time that her house in Johannesburg was vandalised by suspected burglars. At the time of the burglary, Zodwa revealed that she wasn’t staying with Vusi because he had visited family.
Surprisingly, the separation comes shortly after the pair had social media gushing over their lockdown romance when Zodwa shared their cute work-out video. This also comes after Zodwa revealed that she was using social distancing to spend quality time with Vusi.
So what could have gone wrong?
