Prince Kaybee was praised by many female Twitter users after condemning the glorification of Vusi Ngubane’s fraudulent acts, as alleged by his ex-girlfriend, Zodwa Wabantu.
Prince Kaybee weighed in on the controversy between the former couple, Zodwa Wabantu and Vusi Ngubane, on Tuesday, 11 August 2020. His tweet was in response to the trending hashtag, #VusiForPresident. The hashtag was started by males who found humour in the alleged fraudulent acts by Zodwa Wabantu’s ex-boyfriend.
Many who supported the hashtag suggested that Zodwa Wabantu was finally experiencing what many wealthy men who date younger women often experience.
In commenting on the hashtag, Prince Kaybee condemned the glorification of Vusi’s alleged behaviour. The Ayabulela musician stated, “We can’t invest in ‘hype hate’ like this, we can’t celebrate men for hurting women or women for hurting men.” He ended his tweet by suggesting that the only people in support of the hashtag are those with toxic traits. The tweet earned him praise from many female Twitter users.

That #VusiForPresident hashtag is wrong gents. We can’t invest in “hype hate” like this, we can’t celebrate men for hurting women or women for hurting men. There’s something deeply wrong with us if toxic r/ships excite us.— K A B I L L I O N (@PrinceKaybee_SA) August 11, 2020
