On Wednesday this week, eTV aired the exclusive interview done with two women who claim that Prophet Shepard Bushiri had raped them on separate occasions.
According to the women, Bushiri had lured them to hotel rooms where the rape occurred. On the first occasion, the woman says she was asked to come for a prayer session at the hotel. According to her, once she arrived, Bushiri proceeded to kiss and hug her.
“He insisted on a hug and tried to kiss me. I said no I can’t do this, you’re married. And he said ‘don’t worry about that’. He then touched me here [forehead] and I manifested,” she told the interviewer at eTV.
Thereafter, the unidentified woman says she was put under some sort of spell by Bushiri who then took off her clothes and proceeded to rape her.
The second woman, also lured to a hotel room, this time for a "bible reading" session, claimed she walked into the room to a naked Bushiri.
“He asked me to take off my clothes and then told me to turn around. I was shaking and scared. I didn’t know what to do. After that he came on to me and everything happened.”
Both women were reportedly given R5000 by Bushiri after their ordeals.

Bushiri has responded to these claims by accusing the women, under the influence of law enforcement officials, of trying to extort him. He says the women approached him asking for large amounts of money for the show not to be aired.
“This woman, for the past 3 years, has been running an extortion syndicate against me through sending girls to demand money from us and if we don’t give, she told the girls to go public and accuse us of raping them,” said Bushiri said in a statement.
He has also said that he would be suing the women for false allegations and extortion, claiming that he had recorded them demanding money from him.
“Well, we told them we are not giving a single coin to them to stop eTV from running this story. eTV must go ahead. We are going to sue you and your extortion cohorts. This time we want to show you the power of money and justice,” he said.
Meanwhile, the prophet has been trending on Twitter since the tv show aired with many angry South Africans demanding he be brought to justice.
@mrshezi said: "The reason #Bushiri has had a successful career as a scammer. in this country is because our government is too soft. His church was banned in Zambia, but because we are a banana republic, he is going to get away with the rape allegations as well."
While, @wushekazi45 commented: "Bushiri must go to jail!!"

In other, Briefly.co.za news, pictures of a severely vandalised train station in Klip Town, Soweto have gone viral on Twitter. The post, which was shared by user Yusuf Abramjee, features photos of the station in complete ruins with a caption explaining that the facility is in Klip Town, south of Johannesburg.
Angry South African citizens quickly flooded the post, voicing their opinions on the matter while calling on the country's ruling party, the ANC, to step up and take action against the vandals while also paying more attention to the country's continuously declining infrastructure.
Many of them accused the ANC of stealing state funds for personal gain while allowing the country to slip further and further into ruins. Others also questioned how the government would remedy the transport situation once people who frequently use the train station need to start traveling to work again.
