Radio personality and influencer MisRed real name Samantha Musa, has divided opinion on social media with her latest comments on Zimbabwe and its inhabitants.
In an Instagram Live video, the outspoken MisRed said Zimbabweans do not love their country. She gave examples of other African countries saying they have their issues but they do not speak ill about their country.
She said:
You have everything bad to say about this country, so what are you fighting for? Absolutely nothing! But when you value something so much when it touches you (in the heart) you will fight to the nail to save it. If you say Zimbabwe is bad, people outside will also say Zimbabweans are bad and they will laugh at you. Never think they are going to look at you nice. Nigeria is bad, you can see what is happening there same thing as here but never talk ill about Nigeria to a Nigerian. Yes they have corruption, yes they have issues but a Nigerian person is so proud of their country and they will speak well of their country every single time.
Her comments drew divided opinions from people on social media with some supporting her comments with another section slamming her.
Fellow media personality Makosi Musambasi supported MisRed and said:
On the other hand, outspoken businesswoman and socialite Olinda Chapel who is based in the United Kingdom called out MisRed for her comments. She said MisRed’s comments were disrespectful. She said:
I think Misred you’re being completely disrespectful to the people of Zimbabwe. You just need to stop! Some comments you make are hurtful, especially to people like Itai and Patson Dzamara and those that were killed by soldiers.
I have watched the video @iMisred posted over and over again! I really don’t see what wrong with it! She does acknowledge that’s we are not have a perfect nation and work needs to be done, but more importantly you can only work on that which you love!
