The father of the late socialite and fitness enthusiast Michelle “Mimi Moana” Amuli has slammed popular contemporary musician Jah Prayzah.
Ishmael Amuli who has been making headlines since his daughter passed away in a horrific car crash almost two weeks back has said that he does not hold the musician, real name Mukudzeyi Makombe, in high regard due to his actions.
It seems that Jah Prayzah attracted the ire of Amuli on a number of occasions, with the latest being how he conducted himself at Moana’s funeral.
Moana’s father took issue with the fact that when Jah Prayzah came to Moana’s funeral to pay his respects and to express his condolences, he only reserved that honour for Moana’s mother Yolander Kuvaoga. Amuli and Kuvaoga are estranged after they divorced when the late socialite was still a baby.
According to Ishmael Amuli, Jah Prayzah disregarded all cultural protocol by choosing not to pay his respects to the father of the deceased. He said that up to now, Jah Prayzah has not bothered to pay his respects to him.
The outspoke Amuli who is currently embroiled in a fight with his former in-laws over his daughter’s burial, curiously said that he was not impressed that Jah Prayzah did not seek him out and ask his permission for Moana to appear in one of his music videos.

Moana featured on the music video of Jah Prayzah’s song Munyaradzi which was released in May this year. Amuli appears to insist that the musician should have sought his permission despite the fact that at the time the video was shot, Moana was 25-years-old and capable of making her own decisions.
