AEZ is a grassroots, national and ward-based socio-economic empowerment organization founded on the principles of His Excellency, the President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, their patron whom they met at State House on Monday.
Prophet Edd Branson, the chairman of the apolitical organization Action for Empowerment Zimbabwe (AEZ), will be assisted by an advisory board made up of experts from different industries to foster developmental programmes in the country.
The meeting was meant to introduce the organisation and its national executive to President Mnangagwa, as well as outline the organization’s vision, mission and objectives regarding its empowerment programs.

President Mnangagwa also stated that AEZ must live up to its name by moving beyond mere rhetoric and provide real empowerment to the people. “You must create programmes that create action to give people empowerment,” he said. The AEZ board selected Alson Darikayi as the first president of the organization.
The organization will be focused on supporting and facilitating empowerment for all Zimbabweans, especially those in the grassroots, particularly women and the youths.
“We will ensure that our empowerment programmes and activities reach even the furthest and remotest corners of Zimbabwe,” said Darikayi. He said AEZ is an equal opportunity empowerment organisation whose aim is to be the leader in sustainable and inclusive socio-economic empowerment in Zimbabwe.
