Acclaimed journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has taken shots and attacked rapper Stunner for allegedly beating up his wife Dyonne Tafirenyika.
The 41-year-old musician, whose real name is Desmond Chideme, appeared before Harare magistrate Evelyn Mushavakure on Monday to answer to charges of domestic violence after he reportedly assaulted his wife.
It is alleged that on April 10 at around 2am, Stunner was performing at the Dope Party concert at the Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare. After the performance, his wife allegedly went to the bathroom and Stunner is said to have followed, dragged her out of the toilet and demanded to see her cellphone.
“Never Move In With A Man Who Lives With His Parents” – Hopewell Chin’ono Viciously Attacks Stunner For Beating His Wife! |
Hopewell Chin’ono has weighed into the issue and condemned Stunner for beating up his wife, in a thinly-veiled attack.
Posting on Facebook earlier today, Hopewell said: “Girl Child. If he is a drunk now, he will always be a drunk. If he beats you up now, he will always beat you up. Don’t think you can change a man when he marries you, you won’t.”
Chin’ono then went on to undress Stunner for being irresponsible, as he once went to stay at his parents’ house.
“A man has potential when he is 25, at 30 you must start seeing that potential, at 35 he should be somewhere. At 40 he is now old and has probably lived half of his life. What you see when dating him, that is what you will get when you are his wife. Never move in with a man who lives with his parents, that is the height of irresponsibility! Happy Thursday!”
