Zimbabwe Warriors and Supersport United midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi, who is currently going through a rough patch in his career, has been dragged to court following allegations of snatching and damaging his sister’s iPhone XR gadget last week.
Mahachi appeared at the Bulawayo Tredgold Magistrates courts charged with malicious damage to property.
As quoted by New Zimbabwe, Mahachi‘s lawyer Nkosiyabo Sibanda confirmed the development but declined to give more details.
He said:
“Yes, Mahachi appeared in court today but the State failed to provide evidence for the charge which he is being accused of. He was told to come back after two weeks when the State said it would have the evidence.”
It has been alleged that Mahachi snatched and damaged his sister’s iPhone XR gadget last week.
It is further alleged that his intention was to destroy evidence in a case which he is being accused of scalding his four-year-old son with boiling water.
The child’s injuries were not treated in a timely manner, resulting in the minor’s right foot being amputated.

They argue that the accusations are designed to tarnish their client’s image as a successful international footballer.
It had been reported that Mahachi destroyed his 4-year-old son’s passport before handing him over to a malayitsha who smuggled the boy back into Zimbabwe from South Africa.
Before scalding the minor with boiling water, Mahachi is alleged to have assaulted him all over his body using a variety of weapons, including an iron bar and mobile phone cable charger.
The SuperSport United winger then called his sisters and claimed that his son’s third-degree burns were a form of cancer that developed after goblins attacked him.
Mahachi’s friend, Carlos Witness Moyo, is reported to have told the police that he is the one who took custody of Diego after he was smuggled into the country by a Malayitsha.
Moyo resides at Mahachi’s house in Bulawayo’s Cowdray Park suburb.
