As the drama between DJ Fantan, real name Arnold Kamudyariwa, and wife Gamuchirai Nemukuyu keeps unfolding, the latter has reportedly engaged a lawyer following a property fight.
The couple has been making headlines following domestic disputes that found their way onto social media streets.
A few days ago, Nemukuyu and Fantan’s lover, identified as Vimbai Muponda, had a scuffle leading the music producer to take to his Facebook page to address the issue. He referred to Nemukuyu as his ex-wife.
He also claimed that he has never neglected his children and has already made payments to a pre-school, where one of his kids attends.
A local tabloid has reported that Nemukuyu has since engaged Harare lawyer Milton Serima, who will negotiate for their peaceful separation, upkeep of their two minor children and property sharing.
The couple’s lawyers are expected to convene a meeting soon.
As quoted by the publication, Nemukuyu said:
“I have engaged a lawyer to seek legal guidance on support for the children and property sharing with DJ Fantan and we are meeting tomorrow (today),” said Gamu.
According to Nemukuyu, relatives have tried in vain to intervene so that Fantan may provide food for his children.
She also challenged him to produce the receipts of school fees payment for his children.
Regarding their properties, Nemukuyu said she will not let go of what the couple acquired together.
