The Miss Curvy 2014 beauty pageant that was held at Carribea Bay Hotel, Kariba last Saturday has attracted the attention of the regional media, with South African men going ‘ crazy’ over the curvaceous contestants.
The Sowetan, one of South Africa’s biggest tabloid ran a picture page of the contestants, with readers splashing positive comments about the local women.
Read some of the comments:
“All these women must just cross the border with immediate effect, destination Pretoria & Jozi, no passport needed, never knew Zim women can be this powerful!,” wrote one reader called Lamuna.
“Now this is what women are supposed to look like. Much, much more attractive than those skeletons they have in magazines,” wrote Mjove Hlane.
One of the readers went on suggest that the top quality of Zimbabwean women is the reason why Kaizer Chiefs football club owner Bobby Motaung scouts in the country.
“LOL hence Bobby (Motaung) scouts at (sic)Zim, I think I will follow him,” wrote one Jengele.
Meanwhile, the pageant was won by Harare born Sheila Chikengezha, with Chantelle Jeradi and Chengetayi Mnisi being first and second princesses respectively.
The pageant is the brainchild of Zim Gossip modelling agency founder, Mercy Catwalk Mushaninga.
The rave reviews that the pageant has received across the region is an indicator that next year’s edition is poised to be bigger. The Zimbabwe Mail
