Kundai Muradzikwa was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi charged with unlawful entry.
Muradzikwa was released on free bail since he was coming from home and not in police custody. According to court papers, circumstances are that Muradzikwa took door keys from the maid of his tenant Jemwa before he opened the door and stole the cash and goods.
It is the State’s case that on an unknown date, Muradzikwa allegedly seized keys from Jemwa’s maid and ordered her to vacate the place because her boss was delaying in paying rentals as well as electricity bills.
The Court heard that Muradzikwa unlawfully entered Jemwa’s house in her absence and stole money amounting to US$32 000, two watches and jewellery, all valued at US$152 000.

Chinamasa expressed gratitude that no lives were lost during the fire which caused massive damage. In a statement quoted by online publication Zimlive, Chinamasa said,
“Thank God the child’s mother, who had just arrived back from work, and the housekeeper managed to rescue the baby.
“The main bedroom, the bedroom where the fire originated from and my study were all gutted by the fire and reduced to ashes. Nothing was saved from these rooms. The Fire Brigade arrived in time to save the dining room, the lounge, the kitchen and the two remaining bedrooms.”
