An entertainment manager at one of the city’s popular joint was taken to court for bashing a fellow employee following an argument over who pulled most people to the recently held PhD all night prayer between Tocky Vibes and Prophet Walter Magaya.
Arthur Nyangore, who is entertainment manager at barca Sports Bar and restaraunt, was taken to court after he bashed fellow employee, Tafadzwa Tangwena.
The two picked an argument over who was the most popular at the recently held all night prayer and attracted most people to the event. “We picked an argument over Tocky Vibes and Magaya. I was saying Tocky Vibes was the most popular at that event and he stole the show ahead of the PHD Prophet. She was arguing Tocky was less popular and he could not be compared to Magaya. My line of argument angered her considering that she attends PHD. She then ended up slapping me on my face several times and in retaliation I smacked her on the mouth,’ he said.
His testimony could not convince Magistrate Nomsa Sabarauta who slapped him with US$50 fine.
Nyangore also risks being jailed for 20 days if he fails to pay the fine.
In addition, Magistrate Sabarauta slapped him with a wholly suspended two month jail term on condition that he does not commit a similar offence within that period.
Prosecutor Shambdadzeni Fungura said that the incident occurred on November 8 after the two picked a misunderstanding.
It was said that Nyangore slapped Tangwena, who is a chef at Barca, on the back and punched her on the face.
