A man from Runyararo West in Masvingo has been jailed for an effective 30 days with hard labour after he defecated at a commercial sex worker’s doorsteps in protest against poor customer service by the later.
Irked neighbours along Chiwororo Street in Mucheke A eventually forced Liberty Madanhire (24) to remove his stool using bare hands.
Madanhire who also damaged property at the residence was sentenced by Masvingo Magistrate, Oliver Mudzongachiso.
The State represented by Joshua Mundondo said that on March 6, 2015, the accused arrived and knocked at Rudo Zvoushe’s door along Chiwororo Street and demanded to see a commercial sex worker by the name Memory.
Madanhire wanted his money back from Memory because the sex worker had started dodging him after some payments had been made to her.
Zvoushe told the accused that Memory was not resident at the place and Madanhire accused the complainant of hiding the sex worker in her house.
Madanhire then got angry and threw stones and bricks and broke six windows, a kitchen unit and damaged all the hinges on the main door.
Scores of neighbours in the street threatened to cause harm on Madanhire and ordered him to remove the faeces using his bare hands. He immediately did so.
The property damaged by the accused is valued at $28-00.
Police details were promptly alerted leading to the arrest and detention of Madanhire
