A MAN from Hlabathini area in Inyathi, Matabeleland North impregnated a school going girl last month after a series of sexual escapades. Mlamuli Dube (35) failed to control his “4-5” and proposed love to a minor (12), who is doing Grade Seven at a local school.
The court heard that they became hotly in love. It is alleged that they used the shop of the teenage girl’s parents in Inyathi business centre to engage in sex. The minor would remain in the shop in the evening after employees had knocked off.
However, their romps came to a bitter end when the teen’s mother got wind of the affair.
She hatched a plan and feigned a journey to a hospital. The mother of the teen passed by the shop at around 7 pm and found her daughter dishing out sexual goodies to Dube.
After that, she took the teenage girl to a local clinic where a pregnancy test was done and it revealed that she was pregnant. She then reported the matter to the police, leading to Dube’s arrest.
Dube pleaded guilty in court and promised to marry the minor.
“Your worship I admit that I fell in love with a minor and impregnated her. I promise to marry her as I love her so much,” said Dube.
However, he was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment; three months were suspended on condition that he does not commit a similar offence within five years.
