A ZIMBABWEAN man was attacked and killed by robbers in South Africa last Friday after engaging in sex with a local prostitute. According to South Africa police, Edwin Tshuma, of Midrand was stabbed by four robbers in Boksburg in Gauteng's East Rand area.
Boksburg police spokesperson Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese said the Zimbabwean parked his vehicle at a local shopping centre and then went to the nearby bushes with a prostitute he had allegedly paid R10.
"After a steamy romp, four men confronted Tshuma in the bushes before stabbing him multiple times and stealing his valuable belongings," Ngobese is quoted as saying by The Citizen newspaper.
He said police later received a call from a member of the public saying a man had been stabbed.
"The victim suffered several wounds and was certified dead on the scene," Ngobese said.
Three of the suspected killers, aged 20, 28 and 29, were arrested over the weekend.
They have been charged with murder and are likely to face additional charges, including robbery.
