Pastor Kicks Pregnant Woman IN THE STOMACH, Caught On Camera.

A Nigerian pastor has been caught on camera kicking a pregnant woman right in the sacred stomach. The development may serve to illustrate how pentecostal Christians particularly women have become cheap meat to preachers with some even being wilfully sexually assaulted as pastors are allowed private time behind closed doors for counselling sessions.

A recent ZimEye.com snap survey showed that 65% of pentecostal pastors in the United Kingdom perform intrusive private counselling sessions and one of them Walter Masocha was convicted of obtaining sexual gratification from his female followers.

The video expose comes within months of fugitive Harare preacher, Uebert “Angel” Mudzanire being criticised for a public ‘miracle’ he performed on a married woman causing her to go into labour in full view of a church congregation. The latter also came barely a few weeks after his colleague, Emmanuel Makandiwa attempted to perform a surgical miracle birth (before it is due) in front of hundreds of Christians in a church service in Manchester, UK last month.

In recorded video footage, below, ‘prophet’ Angel stretches out his hands to lay them on the female congregant’s belly causing the woman to fall down and begin both labouring and breaking her waters. She is immediately heard crying in pain as everyone in the church is watching.

The credibility elements of the said miracle however could not be established with the child’s parents merely stating that they had been praying several times to avoid complications at birth. They did not even state whether there had been any complications in the past.

In a post birth video published on the church’s website, Mr and Mrs Masauso are seen narrating the miracle session. Mrs Masauso says:

“The man of God came to me and asked me where my husband was. I told him my husband was away on business. He smiled and said he should be here because you will get into labour right now.  “He made me sit down in the chair and touched my belly, as soon as he touched my belly my waters broke immediately and I experienced labour pains” said Mai Masauso.

Masauso can be seen in the video footage with an advanced pregnancy as she sits in the chair and can be heard crying.

Prophet Angel asks if there were any midwives in the meeting hall and immediately two women said to be ‘midwives’ present themselves.

It was then reported that the midwives then took Mai Masauso outside, they examined her and made confirmation she was now 2cm into labour.

She was immediately taken to hospital where she gave birth to her son who has since been named after the prophet, and so his name will now be Uebert.

But prophet Angel this week came under fierce criticism from women activists who narrated several ethical and legal issues they say Zimbabwe’s prophets are breaching.

“Why are all such miracles being performed on women only,” asked Girl Child Network Founder, Betty Makoni.

“There are several issues at stake here and they are for instance Breach of confidentiality, inducing pregnancy or Inducing labour, Public health concerns…

“Why did the Angel announce before the public on such a private and sensitive matter?”, Makoni asked.

She also questioned why the prophet went ahead to lay his hands on the married woman’s belly something which is a cultural taboo, “Pachivanhu chedu nhumbu inoyera. Where have you heard a belly being touched by another man not the husband?

“And then surely to shout kuti mvura yabuda, mvura yabuda – and then to begin shouting publicly that the waters have broken…”

Makoni added that examination of a woman’s pregnancy should be performed in private, “Public examination of pregnancy should be done privately, she said. “Even a doctor closes the curtain before examining”, she said.

She also raised concerns that Angel could be reducing women into fear of the unknown through these ‘miracles.’

Other women activists took to social networks to condemn the said ‘miracle.’

Even just as I am hearing this, I am enraged already. Surely how could he do that?, a female solicitor told ZimEye.com
