And 100 residents signed a petition to be handed to the council in Reading, Berks, demanding action.
They are begging pest controllers to tackle the plague of “super” rats, some up to 2ft long.

Neighbourhood Association secretary Richard Rowlands said the rats were gnawing parked cars in the street, in driveways and even in people’s garages.
He said: “It’s horrific. You feel the food in your home could be contaminated.”
