Chelsea Boss Jose Mourinho To Decide Whether To Seal Transfer of Leicester’s Jamie Vardy Or West Brom’s Saido Berahino In Next 14 Days – Report

Struggling Chelsea will make a bold decision on whether to sign Leicester’s Jamie Vardy or West Brom striker Saido Berahino in the next 14 days, say reports.

The Blues will formalise their transfer plans in the next fortnight to decide whether to bring a new striker to the club.

And should they decide to make a move, their priority targets will be Berahino and Vardy.

Vardy has been in incredible form this season and will break the Premier League record for scoring in the most consecutive matches if he finds the net against Manchester United today.

But Jose Mourinho is not yet convinced that Vardy, who is valued at £30million, is the real deal, according to the Telegraph.

Berahino, 22, would be a cheaper option as he only has 18 months remaining on his contract.

He is also significantly younger than Vardy, 28, which could mean he is the preferred choice.

Both strikers would be eligible to play Champions League football this season, which makes them an attractive January option.
