Argentine football fans stooped to its lowest on Sunday, when they not only insulted but even spat at their star footballer and national captain Lionel Messi, who was returning home after winning the Club World Championship, beating his country's club River Plate 3-0.

According to media reports, the 28-year-old Barcelona forward faced humiliation by River Plate supporters when he was travelling through Narita airport.
