CRISTIANO Ronaldo’s ‘bromance’ with Badr Hari, a Moroccan kickboxer has prompted media and sports commentators to question the footballer’s sexuality.
Spanish media this week said that Real Madrid officials were concerned about how his lifestyle is affecting his performances.
According to Spanish press, the Portuguese forward has frequently been flying to North Africa after sessions on his $28 million private jet to spend time with Badr Hari, 30.
The Sun reports that Daniel Riolo — a contributor on French television showTouche pas a mon sport — incredibly hinted that pair were more than just friends.
The studio audience was heard gasping when Riolo said: “Ronaldo takes three or four jets a week to see a friend in Morocco to cuddle.”
It was also claimed that Ronaldo has had cosmetic surgery on his nose.
The daily sports chat-show, presented by Estelle Denis, has an audience of up for 400,000.
The three-time Ballon d’Or winner — who has been linked with a mega-money return to Manchester United — recently shared a series of photos on a holiday he took with Hari.
He was pictured lifted in Hari’s arms with the caption “Just married. Always there to pick you up, bro”.
Other snaps of the trip shared a candlelit image of a traditional Moroccan meal, as well as a picture of the pair post “wedding”.
The unfounded claims were made despite Ronaldo being linked with a number of beauties throughout his career.
Ronaldo famously had a five-year relationship with Russian beauty Irina Shayk but the pair split after he admitted to sending various flirty messages to women across the globe.
The former Old Trafford hero has since had flings with models Alessia Tedeschi and Maja Darving.
Ronaldo has most recently been linked to the beautiful Marisa Mendes, daughter of super-agent Jorge.
And he recently admitted on the Jonathan Ross Show that he currently has “a few” special women in his life.
Ronaldo’s love of fashion, accessories and grooming has led people to question his sexuality in the past — and he has been voted a gay icon by several publications.
But the 500-goal striker has previously shrugged off any speculation, saying: “I’m at ease with my sexuality so it’s not a problem for me.”
Back in 2010, he also praised Portugal’s decision to allow gay marriage.
“As I am Portuguese, I try to keep myself informed about what is happening in my country,” he said. “We must respect the choices of each other, because, after all, all citizens should have the same rights and responsibilities.”
