Rebel Wilson reveals she was drugged at a nightclub on Wednesday. The actress detailed the scary course of events in a series of tweets.
“Hey guys, but especially to all the girls out there, please be super careful about what you drink when out at clubs and bars at night,” Wilson tweeted on Thursday. She continued, “I had one drink last night at a trendy club which I believe may have been spiked with something. I felt super tried and disoriented.”
Wilson explained she quickly left the club before anything bad happened. “I got home safely but woke up this morning feeling like I’d been hit by a truck. I never thought that would happen to me,” she told her 2.45 million followers. “But if it does… please act as soon as you feel something strange and get yourself to safety.”
The How To Be Single star believe that not finishing her drink was the key to her avoiding a possibly dangerous night. “Lucky for me, I only drank 1/3 of the drink,” Wilson wrote in subsequent tweet, “and realized something wasn’t quite right in time to get home before it really hit me.” The actress did not give details on the location of the incident or how she managed to get home.
She further warmed women to be “careful” when drinking in clubs and immediately go somewhere safe.
