A 20-YEAR-OLD general hand at Solusi Adventist High School, who bedded his 14-year-old girlfriend while the girl’s three-year-old cousin watched, was sold out after the child demonstrated the act to her mother.
Austin Ngwenya was convicted on his own plea of guilty to having sexual intercourse with a young person by Plumtree magistrate, Gideon Ruvetsa.
The court heard that Ngwenya met his lover while she was with her three-year-old cousin near Solusi Clinic. They went to a bush where the lovebirds had sexual intercourse in full view of the child.
The tot demonstrated to her mother what she had seen her cousin and boyfriend doing, when she got home. The juvenile is a Grade Seven dropout and is living with her aunt.
Ruvetsa sentenced Ngwenya to 18 months imprisonment and suspended six months for five years on condition that he does not within the period commit an offence of the same nature. The magistrate suspended the remaining 12 months on condition that Ngwenya performs 420 hours of community service at Solusi Police Base.
