Prophet Magaya Confronting and Exposing Witchcraft

Prophet Walter Magaya is renowned for his healing ministry nonetheless the Prophetic Healing Ministry (PHD) leader has been breaking the demonic curse of witchcraft and has written a book in which he talks of names and totems a tool which witches use when they practice this dark art.

For over 100 years it was a crime to accuse someone of being a witch or wizard in Zimbabwe.

Shocking Confessions of Witchcraft

In a short video clip that has been circulating on social media Prophet Magaya is seen speaking to a former witch (52 year old Juliet Chinzara) who has now since repented and left the evil life of being a witch. The woman has now received Jesus Christ as her personal saviour.

The woman reveals some of the things that she used to do as a witch, “I started practicing witchcraft when I had my second child” she says asked when it was her second child who happens to be standing by her side says “ I am 34 years old” meaning she practiced this for over 34years.

The woman spoke of how they would team up with other witches in the village in groups of 10 and sometimes 20 then go out and kill people. She spoke of how they would then eat human flesh. Pointing out that it would take the witches three days to eat an adult human and maybe a day to eat a child.

Asked how many people she had eaten the woman said “As far as I know from just our village it was 6 with the addition of my own child that makes it 7”

The woman went on to reveal that “each person took turns to kill one of their own and for us to have access into the person’s life or house we would need to know their name and totem and that is what we would call.”

Taking advantage of this teaching point Prophet Magaya, reminded his church of a book that he had written regarding the use of Totems and urged his followers to desist from using such.

In 2006 Zimbabwe lifted a ban on the practice of witchcraft, repealing legislation dating back to colonial rule.

As of July 2006 Zimbabwean law acknowledges that supernatural powers exist – but prohibits the use of magic to cause someone harm.

In 1899, colonial settlers made it a crime to accuse someone of being a witch or wizard – wary of the witch hunts in Europe a few centuries earlier which saw many people burned at the stake after such accusations.

But to most Zimbabweans, especially those who grew up in the rural areas, it has been absurd to say that the supernatural does not exist.

Christians in Zimbabwe have always believed that witchcraft exists, but they have been careful to establish the source of such supernatural powers.

Onward Christian Radio decided to ask some Zimbabwean Christians about their thoughts on supernatural power and witchcraft in particular and this is what they said:

Sylvester Murwisi, who is a devout Christian said:

“As Christians we’ve got to recognise that supernatural forces are good if they originate from God – now witchcraft is one of the things that originates from the Satanic world.”

Another Christian Elton Chinengundu, Quoted 2 Chronicles 33:6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.

As a Christian I believe in what the Bible says and the Bible says it exists and we see manifestations of witchcraft in church when man of God pray for people these demons and all signs of witchcraft are exposed”

Thomas Rugara commented saying “I don’t think witchcraft exists, but I believe there are some folks with the talent”

“There have been cases in Zimbabwe in which people have been found with snakes in their cars and homes. These snakes are said to have an ability to vomit money. These stories have been awash in the local media and in most cases the owners of these strange snakes admit or confess in interviews that these snakes were part of their juju or witchcraft. The tough economic time in the country have forced a lot of people into these satanic practices.

However, all hope is not lost we thank God because a lot of these people have now started coming to churches that are known for deliverance, wanting to be born again, they come to man of God to surrender the tools they used in these evil practices. Traditional healers, juju man and even witches are now finding God.” Said Rolland Garazive.
